I was planning to write a blog about my life – how am I living a life being a minimalist, vegan, and impact investor?
I am a vegan, and a minimalist, who works in #impactinvesting and
#earlystageventureinvesting. I am always curious to learn and explore to be better as a human being, so that I can grow spiritually, professionally and personally. That lead me to take a drastic step in my life by moving to a #backpacker (or #hackpacker) hostel ( #ConstruktHostel ) on 2nd January 2019 to reduce the things that I own in my life and live with things that I really need. Now, I am left with 3 bags and 1 #cycle in my life.
I spend more time meeting people, experiencing things and spending time on things, projects and work that matter to me. This place has also helped me find myself, what I am good at and what I am running away from. I am learning constantly and growing.
Now, I try to use my #cycle wherever I go, at least every day to work (almost 12-15 km every day). When I am not able to cycle, I use #rapido – bike sharing, I hope I am able to reduce some carbon footprint by doing this and by being vegan and minimalist.
Today, while spending another Sunday at the hostel, watching a few documentaries on my favorite website (#filmsforaction) and I came across a very interesting concept called ‘#Freegan’, a person who rejects consumerism and seeks to help the environment by reducing waste, especially by retrieving and using discarded food and other goods.
I will highly recommend everyone to watch this documentary – Wasted Waste, as it will help you to know the dark side of consumerism and help you become a conscious consumer and create more #ethical, #humane and #conscious businesses so that we can make this world a better place to live in, not just for humans but for our fellow animals and mother nature.
